On May 27th, 2010 pianist Joe Rubenstein will perform Stark's Yours at Le Poisson Rouge as part of the Keys To The Future contemporary piano music festival in New York City.
On February 20, 2010 the Kansas Percussive Arts Society under the direction of Tracy Freeze gave the U.S. premiere of the revised edition of Stark's Fugue for marimba quartet. They will also perform it on May 4th at Emporia State University.
2009 HIGHLIGHTS
Pianist Guy Livingston gave three performances of Bruce Stark's Serenade in the Netherlands as part of his "One Minute More" piano concert (December 11 in Gouda, December 12 in Zwolle, December 13 in Leeuwarden)
Flutist Linda Chatterton and pianist Matthew McCright included Bruce Stark's American Suite in their concert programs in Minnesota on October 26 (U.S. premiere), October 29, November 2 and November 7.
New York's Keys To The Future 2009 featured several compositions by Bruce Stark during the three-day festival of contemporary piano music. On May 19 pianist Tatjana Rankovich performed Stark's Fanfare from Suite For Piano, on May 20 Amy Briggs performed Waltz from the suite, and on May 21 Molly Morkoski perfomed Rain Watch and Kane's Trains from Songs Of Innocence.
Pianist Tatjana Rankovich also performed Fanfare on April 25 as part of the Synthermeta 2009 International Contemporary Music Festival in Greece.
New York-based pianist and champion of new music Tony DeMare performed Stark's Fugue from Suite For Piano on May 30 in Merkin Hall (NYC) as part of the Musically Speaking series in a concert featuring piano works by composers influenced by the jazz idiom. De Mare also performed Stark's Interlude and Fugue on February 13 at UC Riverside and on February 28 at Massry Center for the Arts in Albany, NY.
On February 9 pianists Karen Kakobyan and Gabriel Escudero gave the world premiere of Bruce Stark's Four at Mannes College. The new work is a set of variations for four-hands piano which was commissioned by Keys To The Future of New York City.
American pianist Matthew McCright included Stark's Five Preludes on his 2009 CD release from Innova Records, entitled Second Childhood
2008 HIGHLIGHTS
On November 25 flutist Paula Robison gave the U.S. premiere of Stark's Blue as part of the Classical Recording Foundation's Annual Award Ceremony in Weill Recital Hall. Blue was also included on her 2008 CD release, Places Of The Spirit, a collaboration of artwork and music.
Japanese trombonist Hiroyuki Odagiri's 2008 release includes Stark's Gospel Song Fantasy for trombone and piano.
On May 18, 2008 German pianist Kai Schumacher gave the European premiere of Bruce Stark's Ode To 'Ode To Joy' and Five Preludes at Lehmbruck-Museum Duisburg.
Pianist Guy Livingston's new DVD, One Minute More, of 60 second piano pieces commissioned from composers around the world and as many films, gave the world premiere of Stark's Serenade as part of the project, and performed the work five times during his Dutch concert tour in November and December of 2008.
Pianist Tatjana Rankovich performed Stark's Fugue, Interlude and Finale on March 27, 2008 as part of the Keys To The Future contemporary piano music series in New York City.

U.S. record label Centaur Records was awarded a grant from the Alice M. Ditson fund in support of the recording of a CD of Stark's American Suite for flute and piano and several of his solo piano works. The new release, entitled Muse, is available online at Centaur Records.
Colorado-based a capella vocal group Ars Nova Singers new release, Blue True Dream contains Bruce Stark's Wind Song. The CD is available on-line through their website.
British pianist Seann Alderking's new release, Vivid, from Red Kite Records (U.K.) is an entire CD of Stark's compositions, including Suite For Piano which was commissioned by him for the recording. Sound samples and purchasing available through their website.
Clarinetist Kazuo Fujii's new CD from ALM Records (Japan) includes a recording of Stark's Takumi's Boogie for clarinet octet.
